Lead is a toxic element for humans because it interferes and affects the function of many metabolic enzymes. Lead is widely used for car batteries, cable sheating, weight belts for diving, lead crystal glass, radiation protection. It is also used to store corrosive liquids. It enters the body by inhalation and ingestion of lead containing dust. Once in the body, it travels to soft tissues as liver, kidneys, lungs, brain, spleen, muscles and heart.
Interpretation: High lead in blood results in symptoms like muscles and joints pain, brain disorders and inhibition of brain functions like sending messages and communication of the brain and the target organs.
